After Alles is rustig (All is quiet, 1999) and “Redde wie zich redden kan” geen slechte titel” (“Devil take the hindmost” not a bad title, 2005), Jolente De Keersmaeker, Sara De Roo and Damiaan De Schrijver are working on the third part of the Thomas Bernhard trilogy: Eind goed al goed (All’s well that ends well), after Am ziel (Destination, 1981).
In Am ziel, the brilliant young author of the play Devil take the hindmost is invited to the seaside by a widow and her daughter after the play’s premiere.

STAN sees Bernhard as an executioner, a master of exaggeration and of reversals. He bends and breaks language, splits hairs, sticks fingers in wounds, destroys sacred cows and spares neither God nor commandment, nor himself. He is the soul-searcher of the individual, of politics and in particular of art and culture.
